⁴⁵ Furthermore, you can buy the children of the aliens living in your land, even those who were born in your land. They shall be your property. ⁴⁶ Your children shall inherit them after you die, for your slaves are property to be inherited forever. But you shall not treat your brethren, the children of Israel, with this type of harshness.
